Sky Ranch
Millions of square feet of warehouse roofs exist in our cities.
Most are occupied only by pigeons and mechanical units.
In Seattle, many warehouses are near our waterways and have territorial views of the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
This project is one example of what is possible if we look at these forgotten landscapes as new opportunities.
Sky Ranch - an 800sf caretakers unit, perches atop a 62,000 sf warehouse roof at Stimson Marina - and best addresses these criteria:
SOLUTIONS
rediscovering waterfront property in an industrialized urban setting
PAST FORWARD
increasing urban density by rethinking forgotten landscapes
ADAPTABILITY
it’s a small box on a big box. ….it could be located anywhere
